Who We Are
The Denver Street School offers struggling students a second chance to earn a high school diploma through a fully accredited program in a small classroom setting.
The Denver Street School believes that a quality education is the most effective approach to transforming many underprivileged members of our society into productive citizens, and serves the population of students in Metro Denver that have struggled with, dropped-out or been expelled from the public school system, helping them toward self-sufficiency through education.
Goals:
- To provide quality, personalized education to as many at-risk students as is feasible who want a second chance to earn their diploma.
- To help students identify and overcome negative habits and patterns in their life that will destroy their future through student services and positive activities, including career counseling, athletic programs, mentoring, and faculty advocacy.
- To assist students in being productive after graduation by helping them enroll in college, enlist in the military or join the workforce.
Faith and Our School
We are a fully accredited school with a strong faith-based Christian component. However, Christianity is not a prerequisite for enrollment or graduation. Students are never discriminated against based on their religion. It is our hope that they will know and understand the transforming power of Jesus Christ, and that they will experience His love while they attend our school.
Denver Street School Anti-Discrimination Statement
This school admits students of any race, color, religion and national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to the students at this school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion and national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies and school administered programs.
“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -- Jeremiah 29:11
